NintendoDS Kindle eventuell für DS?
Satoru Iwata hat in einem Interview mit den UK's Financial Times sein Interesse einer "Amazon Kindle" Funktion für den DS geäussert, da er das Geschäftsmodell für sehr interessant hält.
Es wird spekuliert, dass Iwata vorhat, ein Konkurenzprodukt zu Apples iPhone und zu Sonys PSP Go zu präsentieren.
"I'm interested because it's a new business model in which the user doesn't bear the communications cost [...]"
Laut Iwata, ist das Geschäftsmodell des Kindle für Nintendos Unterhaltungselektronik passender, da bei diesem System keine monatlichen Fixkosten anfallen.
Auf die Frage, ab wann mit dem Kindel zu rechnen ist, erwiderte Iwata, dass es noch lange dauern könnte und er sich noch auf keinen Termin fixieren will.
