Für "DiRT 5" werden heute das umfangreiche Update 2.00 sowie das kostenlose "Snow Limits"-Paket veröffentlicht.
Codemasters veröffentlicht das erste grosse Update für "DiRT 5". Das umfangreiche Update 2.00 erweitert das Spiel um eine Hardware-Unterstützung für Lenkräder, behebt Fehler und fügt weitere Optimierungen hinzu. Die Version 2.00 ist ab sofort für PC verfügbar und wird in Kürze auch für Konsolen folgen.
"Die Hardware-Unterstützung für Lenkräder unterstützt die meisten Lenkräder gängiger Hersteller, darunter auch die neusten Produkte von Logitech und Thrustmaster. Neben dem PC wird das Update auch die Konsolen-Fassungen von DIRT 5 um die ersehnte Hardware-Unterstützung für Lenkräder erweitern und darüber hinaus auch kompatible Peripherie für Xbox One und PlayStation 4 mit Next-Gen-Konsolen nutzbar machen," heisst es. Zusätzlich behebt das Update 2.00 Fehler und fügt weitere Optimierungen hinzu, inklusive Online-Matchmaking, mit denen die Spielerfahrung auf allen Plattformen verbessert werden soll.
Neben dem Update 2.00 veröffentlicht Codemasters das kostenlose "Snow Limits"-Paket für die Festtage: "Als Teil des neuesten Updates enthält das Snow Limits-Paket eine Reihe festlicher, neuer Objekte, die im Playgrounds-Modus von DIRT 5 verwendet werden können, ein brandneues Sprint-Rennen auf dem Eis auf Roosevelt Island und einige neue Anpassungsmöglichkeiten für das eigene Spieler-Profil und Lackierungen, darunter die Festtags-Lackierungen für den Ford Mustang GT4 und den Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia."

- Fixed visual bug in Career mode that shows the player earning more than the maximum amount of Stamps after completing Throwdowns
ONLINE
- Technical changes made to the matchmaking process; search times for lobbies have been increased to improve the likelihood of live lobbies being found
- Friends lobby size increased to eight players
- Fixes for crashes occurring when exiting active multiplayer events
SPLIT-SCREEN
- Fixed multiple bugs causing crashes and performances issues in split-screen play
- Audio fixes for low volume in split-screen mode
PLAYGROUNDS
- Leaderboard display adjusted to show faster target times
- Resolves occurrences of objects being available for the wrong event type
GENERAL
- Amplified Edition entitlements fully unlocked for Amplified Edition pre-order players
- PS5: Fixed issue with Trophies not unlocking. Any Trophies earned during this issue should unlock for players after completing one event
- Further improvements made to AI behaviour, particularly in races with large grids
- Fixed instance of cars triggering a track reset incorrectly on Arizona – Merrick Butte location
- Fixed issues causing crashes in the post-race menus
- Sprint cars: changes made to handling model following community feedback
- Display fixes for PS4/PS5 Trophy images and text
- General stability and quality of life improvements across each platform to improve your experience
