Auf der D23 Expo wurde ein neuer Koop-Plattformer mit dem Titel "Disney Illusion Island" angekündigt, der 2023 erscheinen soll. Exklusiv für die Nintendo Switch, lassen sich die Abenteuer mit wahlweise Mickey, Minnie, Donald oder Goofy bestreiten. Scheinbar stehen den Charakteren auch Spezialfertigkeiten zur Verfügung, wie beispielsweise Goofys gigantische Flasche.
Das an die alten Disney-Zeichentrickfilme und -spiele angelehnte Game von Dlala basiert auf einem gestrichenen Spiel aus dem Jahr 2016 und übernimmt zahlreiche grundlegende Elemente daraus, wie aus einem Interview von IGN hervorgeht.
