Update vom 23. Januar 2020: Netflix hat jetzt bestätigt, dass es sich bei "The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf" um einen Animationsfilm handelt. Darum kümmert sich Studio Mir (Legend of Korra). Lauren S. Hissrich und Beau DeMayo sind ebenfalls verantwortlich. Ein Termin wurde nicht genannt.

Januar 2020: Auf die zweite Staffel von "The Witcher" werden wir wohl noch bis zum Jahr 2021 warten, aber da ist offenbar noch ein anderes Projekt in der Mache, das bisher nicht offiziell bestätigt wurde. Laut einem Eintrag in der Datenbank der "Writers Guild of America" wird Beau DeMayo, einer der Autoren der "The Witcher"-Serie für einen Film namens "The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf" gelistet.
Was könnte dahinter stecken? Es wird vermutet, dass es sich bei "The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf" um einen Animationsfilm handelt. Beau DeMayo war für die dritte "The Witcher"-Episode mit der Striga verantwortlich, die besonders düster und gruselig ausfiel. "The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf" könnte in eine ähnliche Richtung gehen.
