Im Source-Code der offiziellen PlayStation-Seite wurden einige Hinweise auf noch nicht bestätigte PS5-Features entdeckt, darunter ein Party-Chat-für bis zu 100 Spieler, Cross-Gen-Voice-Chat, Game-Sharing und eine Wunschliste für den PlayStation-Store. Weiterhin wird erwähnt, dass einige Features eines PS4-Spiels möglicherweise nicht auf der PlayStation 5 funktionieren werden oder PS4-Titel überhaupt nicht kompatibel sein könnten. Bisher hat Sony gesagt, dass eine überwältigende Mehrheit der PS4-Games auf der PlayStation 5 laufen wird. Ein PS5-Boost für PS4-Spiele könnte ebenfalls ein Thema sein und die gefundenen Hinweise findet ihr in der Liste, aber offiziell bestätigt sind die Features natürlich nicht.
